Nienke van der Meulen is a recorder player and baroque oboist from the Netherlands. She is currently studying baroque oboe in Paris with Antoine Torunczyk. Nienke is a member of Red Rose Four and ensemble Rood Hout. With both ensembles she was selected for the Fringe series in the Utrecht Early Music festival and the Reincken festival. With Red Rose Four she played at the Wunderkammer festival in Italy, concerts in France, Germany and many concerts in The Netherlands. The first cd of this ensemble is named 'Dese Coxkens'. Nienke was one of the finalists of the Link prize 2010, a prize for the best Dutch musician for contemporary music and she was one of the nominees for the HKU award 2010. She played with the Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands, Concerto Barocco, Ad Mosam and Consortium Musica Sacra Koln.
In December 2011 she played with Red Rose Four at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and was a guest at the radio programm 'Spiegelzaal' live from the concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
